This season hasn't been kind to the Edison Tommies, who are still winless after their 17th game. They had to suffer through a rough 87-6 loss at the hands of Roosevelt. Edison has struggled against Roosevelt recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Wren, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wren has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmyne Armstrong, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
Edison dropped their record down to 0-17 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.6 points per game. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Henry/Minneapolis North at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Roosevelt, they will face off against Providence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Providence Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
