Omaha Westside has enjoyed the comforts of home their last six games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Lincoln Southeast Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Omaha Westside came up short against the Crusaders and fell 52-43.
Despite their loss, Omaha Westside saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kimora Jenkins, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Pederson, who scored five points along with five rebounds and five blocks.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Lincoln Southeast's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellevue West. Lincoln Southeast has struggled against the Thunderbirds recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Omaha Westside dropped their record down to 11-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lincoln Southeast, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
Omaha Westside came up short against the Knights in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 53-49. Can Omaha Westside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
