The biggest upset of the week belonged to Saddleback Valley Christian, who took down 494th ranked Capistrano Valley Christian, 26-0. Jake Markum threw for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 30 yards during the win.
Adding to the longest winning streak in San Joaquin this week, the Warriors beat the Eagles 26-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Santa Clarita Christian's dynamic duo of Jonathan Saavedra and Jon Luke Wilson proved tough for Southlands Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Saavedra threw for 349 yards and 5 touchdowns and Wilson had 97 yards receiving. Cameron Lewis helped Santa Clarita Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 73 yards.
He went 11-16 with 1 interception.
Capistrano Valley Christian's Riley Babick and Ben Sukut have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Babick has thrown for 1,965 yards this season, while Sukut has 58 catches for 712 yards. Justin Reber's team's James Bethea leads the league in rushing yards with 1,091.
Going into this week's contest against Boron, Dan Dodd's team's Babick needs 35 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
The Warriors moved up to 702 from 763 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Saddleback Valley Christian climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Eagles 26-0.
