Shaw's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyra Smith-Goard, who scored 21 points. Smith-Goard also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Serenity Kent-cox, who scored 11 points.
Shaw's victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3. As for Bard Early College, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Shaw will head out on the road to face off against North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bard Early College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garfield Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
