Centerville won the last time they faced Union County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 6-1.

Landen Schlotterbeck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nick Tinkle, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Centerville's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Union County, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centerville will take on Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Union County, they will face off against Indianapolis Kings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
