Another reason for the win was Chesapeake's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Connor Wright and his two sacks.
Chopticon has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Chesapeake, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Chopticon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chesapeake will square off against Northeast at TBD on Friday. Northeast comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
