Elgin extended their losing streak  to three  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-14 in the process. They lost  12-3 to the Northmor Golden Knights. The Comets were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Golden Knights from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
 Elgin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Madison Hill, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
As for Northmor,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 13-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six  runs or more this season.
On Northmor's side,  Shelby Cooper made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Cooper has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Katalina Roseberry was  excellent,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April.  Maddie See was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Looking ahead, Elgin will be playing at home against Hardin Northern  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Northmor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
