6A Three Rivers recap Oct. 30, 2012
Lake Oswego extended the longest winning streak in 6A Three Rivers this week by beating Oregon City, 46-14. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Lakers.
Lake Oswego led the league in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on the Pioneers. Nick Underwood ran for 101 yards and caught one passes for 14 yards in the win.
Canby's dynamic duo of Sam Stelk and Dominic Shorter proved tough for Clackamas to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Stelk threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns and Shorter had 86 yards receiving. AJ Schlatter helped Canby's passing attack out by catching one ball for 33 yards.
Dan Sherrell was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 38 carries, he ran for 308 yards as the Cavaliers beat the Cavaliers. Teammate Dalon Hudson added to the ground attack by rushing for eight yards.
6-foot-4 quarterback Eric Dungey of Lakeridge is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1692. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. On the ground, Clackamas' Sherrell has rushed for 1662 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Erick Douglass. The Clackamas star has 53 catches for 583 yards.
