Grayson Hammonds put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in April of 2024 on Monday. She pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. The effort also marked the fewest walks (three) she has had since back in May of 2024.

Hammonds and Mount Vernon will be playing in front of their home fans against Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th. Sadly, Hammonds' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped Mount Vernon's four-game streak of wins at home.
