The Cypress Creek Bears will face off against the West Orange Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
Cypress Creek hadn't beaten Colonial on the road since April 8, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Bears put the hurt on the Grenadiers with a sharp 11-2 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bears have posted against the Grenadiers since April 8, 2022.

Amanda Cintron made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two triples, and three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Illiana Bustamante, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one double. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alondra Lozada, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, West Orange came up short against Olympia on Friday and fell 13-9. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cali Flowers was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Ryan Caulkins, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
West Orange's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cypress Creek, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
Cypress Creek's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Bears have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for West Orange, though, as they've been averaging only 0.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Cypress Creek continue to outrun the ball?
Cypress Creek might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from West Orange in their previous matchup back in March of 2021. Will the Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
