Houston Academy came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Long Rebels a 10-0 shutout. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six goals or more this season.

They hit Long with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elsie Shirley (5), Mary Helen Mendheim (3), and Mary Mills Carter (2).

Houston Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Long, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-4-3.
