It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Arcadia Titans had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They skirted past Coconino 23-20. The victory was just business as usual for Arcadia, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Brady Forst, who rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Forst is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Rooney, who threw for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Coconino still got an impressive performance from Bridger French, who rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown. French is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
Arcadia's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.7 points per game. As for Coconino, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Arcadia will look to defend their home field on November 17th against Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Thunderbird is ranked 38th, while Arcadia is ranked 35th). Coconino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
