Halstead came tearing into Tuesday's game with 13 straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Marion Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 48-29. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.

Halstead's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Marion, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Halstead will face off against Berean Academy on Saturday. As for Marion, they will challenge Central Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
