The Wolfe City Wolves won the last time they faced the Tom Bean Tomcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Wolfe City took down Tom Bean 49-32.
Several Tomcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Allie Hickman, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Madisyn Capps, who scored eight points.
Wolfe City is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Tom Bean, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Wolfe City will head out on the road to challenge Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trenton has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for Tom Bean, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Honey Grove at 6:45 p.m. Honey Grove presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tom Bean in Texas (Honey Grove is ranked 443rd, while Tom Bean is ranked 1002nd).
