The West Brook Bruins entered their tilt with the Klein Oak Panthers with 16 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 17. West Brook was the clear victor by a 54-33 margin over Klein Oak. 54 seems to be a good number for West Brook as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Despite the defeat, Klein Oak saw an underclassman step up: Maci Mote scored 11 points. Mote has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Vaughn, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
West Brook's win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Klein Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-4.
West Brook will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Fort Bend Austin at 9:30 a.m. on December 29, 2023. Fort Bend Austin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Klein Oak won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cypress Ranch at 11:00 a.m. on December 29, 2023. Cypress Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Klein Oak is ranked 97th).
