When it comes to explaining why Falls Church lost, one person who can't be blamed is Simone Pendleton. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with three steals. That was a full 42.9% of Falls Church's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ainsley Phillips was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Falls Church's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Hayfield, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falls Church will take on the Majors at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
