On Friday, the Eastern Ramblers faced the Woodson Warriors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Eastern took a hard 22-6 fall against Woodson. It was the first time this season that Eastern let down their fans at home.
Leading Woodson to victory were William Simmons and Dallas Allen-Hall. Simmons rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns, while Allen-Hall rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown. Simmons hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games.
Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Woodson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Woodson will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Ballou at 11:00 a.m. on November 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Ballou is ranked 12th, while Woodson is ranked sixth).
