Port Allegany waltzed into their game  on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Coudersport Falcons 10-0. Considering the Gators have won ten matches by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Derek Smith made a splash no matter where he played. He  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted  over his last nine  contests.
 In other batting news,  Levi Howard and  Kellen Veilleux did most of the damage at the plate:  Howard  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run, while  Veilleux  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base. That's the most  RBI  Howard has posted since back in April.
Port Allegany pushed their record up to 15-2 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Coudersport, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1.
 Looking ahead, Port Allegany will take on Smethport at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Hubbers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.43  runs per game on average), something the Gators will no doubt try to take advantage of. Coudersport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
