The Charleston Tigers lost against the Riverside Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Charleston fell 52-39 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Charleston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 122nd).
Riverside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Wilson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 11 games he's played. DJ Gaston was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Charleston has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Riverside, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.
Charleston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Riverside will head out on the road to square off against the Gators at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
