The Alamosa Mean Moose will venture away from home to challenge the Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Alamosa has three straight victories, Pueblo Centennial has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
11 must be Alamosa's lucky number: they beat Pagosa Springs with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Mean Moose blew past the Pirates 11-1. That looming 11-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mean Moose yet this season.

Evan Anderson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Alamosa is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise. Anderson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nelson Arambula, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Tony Griego was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Alamosa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pagosa Springs only posted a batting average of .176.
Meanwhile, Pueblo Centennial came up short against Pueblo County on Saturday, falling 12-1.
Pueblo Centennial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landen Lenn, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Alamosa now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Pueblo Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Alamosa's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Mean Moose have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Pueblo Centennial, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Alamosa continue to outrun the ball?
Alamosa couldn't quite get it done against Pueblo Centennial in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 15-12. Can the Mean Moose avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
