The Northwest Lions''s 19-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mehlville 39-7 on the road. Northwest pushed the score to 32-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Mehlville had little chance of recovering from.
Northwest's win bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Mehlville, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
