The White Cloud Indians will head out to take on the Grant Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
White Cloud barely beat Lakeview the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-3 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

White Cloud got a great performance from Ayden Hensley as he struck out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those nine strikeouts gave Hensley a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Brady Strait was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six stolen bases, three runs, and one double. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Reece Hewitt also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Grant came out on top against Chippewa Hills on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Tigers took their contest against the Warriors 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.
Grant got a big performance out of Blake Rider, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Kiliszewski, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Grant kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.6.
White Cloud's record now sits at 5-7. As for Grant, their record is now 11-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. White Cloud has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Grant struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
White Cloud suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Grant when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
