Dexter entered their  matchup against Tularosa  on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Demons fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of  3-2.  Melody Duran paced Dexter's offense, picking up ten kills. Duran got some help from  Emily DeLaRosa and her 24 assists. DeLaRosa was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
Dexter suffered their first home  loss, dropping their record down to 12-7. As for Tularosa, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dexter will  take on  rival Ruidoso  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tularosa is set to  square off against  their familiar foe New Mexico Military Institute  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
