Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the University Trojans, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 14-13 to Crockett. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but University was just barely outscored by Crockett in the second.
Although University took the loss, they still got scores from LaDarrius Evans and London Smith.
University's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Crockett, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.
University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crockett is on the road again on Friday and play against Lake Creek at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Lake Creek is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
