Berkeley Prep's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was JD Haughey, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Haughey also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-0 to Largo.

Berkeley Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
