Michael Dejohn Turns in Season-Best Effort
Kelseyville was led to victory by Michael Dejohn, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Dejohn rushed for 242 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
The victory was the eighth in a row for Kelseyville, bringing their record for this year to 9-1. Dejohn and Kelseyville will take on Del Norte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kyle Watkins Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Kelseyville got the W thanks in part to Kyle Watkins playing the best football he has all season. Watkins rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 72 yards.
Unfortunately for St. Helena, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Watkins. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Watkins saw the Saints), he rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown.

St. Helena came up short on Friday despite Dean Sommer delivering his best game to date. Sommer picked up 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The effort also marked the most rushing yards (two) he has had since back in August. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 57 yards.
