The Bonita Springs Bullsharks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 26-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Golden Gate. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bonita Springs in their matchups with Golden Gate: they've now lost seven in a row.
Golden Gate got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aniah Buchanan out in front who scored 11 points.
Bonita Springs' loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.6 points per game. As for Golden Gate, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record this season.
Bonita Springs will be playing at home against Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neumann presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bonita Springs in Florida (Neumann is ranked 50th, while Bonita Springs is ranked 548th). As for Golden Gate, Golden Gate and Palmetto Ridge will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Palmetto Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
