Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Golden City, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-41 loss to Exeter on Tuesday.
Jefferson Independent Day's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Golden City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
Jefferson Independent Day was able to grind out a solid win over Golden City in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 57-47. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Golden City's Josh Reeves, who scored 37 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
