Fans got a thrill when Jono Bigger and Schuyler Gargano connected against Wheeler. The connection went for 75 yards, the longest such play in Greater South Shore this season.
North Newton's Bigger recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Bearcats last week. Bigger ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 117 on the day as his team fell to Wheeler.
North Newton's dynamic duo of Bigger and Tyler Richardson proved to be unstoppable against Tony Klimczak's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bigger threw for 205 yards and Richardson had 92 yards receiving.

Richardson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Spartans fell to Wheeler.

Ethan Young was the best running back in Greater South Shore this week. In 32 carries, he ran for 126 yards as Whiting lost to Wheeler.
North Newton's Bigger and Gargano have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Bigger has thrown for 1,236 yards this season, while Gargano has 12 catches for 365 yards. The Oilers' Young leads the league in rushing yards with 404.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Hammond Bishop Noll takes on Whiting. The Warriors are in third place, while Jeff Cain's team is in first place.
Hammond Bishop Noll was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in the league. Michael Juscik's team beat Lake Station Edison 27-10 earlier in the week.
