Basketball Recap: Robertson Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

If St. Michael wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Robertson, they should've done a better job of containing Arianna Martinez. The Robertson Cardinals pulled ahead with a 59-58 photo finish over the St. Michael's Horsemen on Tuesday thanks to Martinez, who went 6-for-10 en route to 20 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ayvah King, who posted eight points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Robertson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points over those games. As for St. Michael's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-16.

Coincidentally, Robertson and St. Michael's will both be playing Santa Fe Indian the next time they take the court. Robertson will head out to face Santa Fe Indian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while St. Michael's will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
