In other batting news, Adeline Olbrych was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Izzabella Harper was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Southwick Regional got the win against Smith Vo-Tech on Monday by a conclusive 17-2. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Like Chicopee, Southwick Regional also got a great game from a two-way player: Brooke Comee. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Comee was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Eleanor Rolandini and Savannah Humason did most of the damage at the plate: Rolandini went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Humason went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Harper Lightcap, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Southwick Regional was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
Chicopee's record is now 14-0. As for Southwick Regional, their record now sits at 10-3.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chicopee has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .511. However, it's not like Southwick Regional struggles in that department as they've averaged .532. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chicopee got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Southwick Regional by a conclusive 18-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
