Grant is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Edison is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, everything came up roses for Grant against Cordova as the squad secured a 48-7 win. With the Pacers ahead 42-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Blake Nycum
| 10/30/25 @ Cordova | 177.1 |
| 10/17/25 vs Antelope | 171.1 |
| 10/10/25 vs West Park | 124.5 |
| 09/27/25 @ Lincoln | 53.8 |
Blake Nycum had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 352 yards and five TDs on perfect 10-for-10 passing. His passing game has become a key predictor of Grant's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 3-4 otherwise. A healthy portion of Nycum's aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Damarcus Brown, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edison). They blew past Lodi 56-17 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Flames are ranked 607th).
Grant better keep an eye on Devin Rasmussen. He was instrumental in Edison's win, throwing for 393 yards and seven touchdowns on only 16 passes. Thanks to that big game, Rasmussen is now up to 31 passing touchdowns on the season.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Edison proved: they limited Lodi to a paltry 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Dezmond Sanders for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Edison; they were averaging 4.3yards per carry per game earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 3.7 per game.
Edison's defense didn't let Drew Tetz, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-4. As for Edison, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-4.
We should be in store for an exciting game as Grant and Edison have no problem gaining yardage. The Pacers have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 370.3 total yards per game. However, it's not like Edison struggles in that department as they've been averaging 371 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Grant took their victory against Edison in their previous matchup back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 28-7 score. Will the Pacers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
