After flying high against the Chatham Panthers last Friday, The Canajoharie/Fort Plain came back down to earth. Canajoharie/Fort Plain was the victim of a tough 50-26 defeat at the hands of Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Canajoharie/Fort Plain lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cody Hyney . Despite the final result, he threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Leading Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton to victory were Ben Sheldon and Gavin McCabe. Sheldon rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, while McCabe rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Nick Jeckel, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Canajoharie/Fort Plain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
