The Glencoe Yellowjackets waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Westbrook Christian 69-51. This was a revenge game for Glencoe, as the team was forced to settle for a 77-68 defeat when these two played two weeks ago.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Edge, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Edge has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cooper Greer, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Glencoe's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Westbrook Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.
Glencoe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-64 defeat vs. Plainview on the 10th. Westbrook Christian has also already played their next matchup, a 86-60 defeat against Geraldine on the 10th.
