There's no place like home for the Colleyville Heritage Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Birdville on Friday. Given Colleyville Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Birdville is ranked 551st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Colleyville Heritage hit Birdville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Santiago Zapeda,
Jackson Smythe, and
Conner Miles.
Colleyville Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-4 record this season. As for Birdville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ryan the next time they take the pitch. Colleyville Heritage will head out to face Ryan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Birdville will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on February 20th.
