Crestwood is 0-3 against Cloverleaf since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Crestwood Red Devils will be playing at home against the Cloverleaf Colts at 6:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Crestwood took a serious blow against Rootstown, falling 69-13.
Grace Harper was Crestwood's leading scorer, having posted three points.
Piper Seibold took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with a assist.
Meanwhile, Cloverleaf came up short against North Olmsted on Sunday and fell 46-35.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Evie Barth, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. She scored a full 45.7% of Cloverleaf's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kayla Shook was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Their wins bumped Crestwood to 1-1 and Rootstown to 3-0.
Crestwood might still be hurting after the 61-41 defeat they got from Cloverleaf when the teams last played back in December of 2017. Can Crestwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
