Foxcroft Academy has won ten straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Washington Academy has won ten straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Ponies will welcome the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Foxcroft Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Foxcroft Academy managed to slip by Washington Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Ponies came up short against the Raiders on Friday, falling 10-1. The matchup marked the Ponies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Washington Academy's part, Trevor Shimabukuro was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Shimabukuro has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

In other batting news, James Welch was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Mahar, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Washington Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Foxcroft Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Foxcroft Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Washington Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
