The Central Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Spalding Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Saturday, Central earned a 74-65 win over Schley County. The win was all the more spectacular given Central's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Schley County is ranked 167th).
Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Demarcus White out in front who scored 27 points. The matchup was White's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Seldon, who scored 22 points.
Meanwhile, Spalding was the victim of a rough 106-85 defeat at the hands of Baldwin on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (74), Spalding still had to take the loss.
Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Spalding, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.
