The Grove City Christian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Fisher Catholic Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Grove City Christian stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 69-43 margin over Columbus International. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Grove City Christian had established a 20 point advantage.
It was another big night for Seth Vaughn, who scored 27 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Grove City Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Ransom, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fisher Catholic beat Wellington School 55-43 on Tuesday.
Grove City Christian's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Fisher Catholic, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Grove City Christian beat Fisher Catholic 66-56 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grove City Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
