 Xavier Romero made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March of 2024.

 In other batting news,  Carlos Carrasco was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. Those  four  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Jeremiah Hunt, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Imagine Prep  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .571. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  win  got Imagine Prep back to even at 4-4-1. As for Harvest Prep Academy,  they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 Coming up, Imagine Prep will challenge Mission Heights Prep at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Harvest Prep Academy, they will take on East Valley Athletes for Christ at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Eagle's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.5  runs per game this season.
