Tyla Longlais made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
As for Coleman, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games.
On Coleman's side, Makenzie Nowak made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Nowak was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Coleman let Macy Nowak and Alyssa Kurth run wild. Nowak went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Kurth went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave Nowak a new career-high. Hailey Ermis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Green Bay Southwest has already played their next game, a 17-2 loss against Sheboygan North on the 6th. As for Coleman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-4 defeat against Oconto Falls on the 5th.
