The Newfane Panthers waltzed into their match Wednesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They claimed a resounding 74-45 victory over Barker at home. The result was nothing new for Newfane, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Newfane's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ben Dickinson, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Dickinson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Braman, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Newfane pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Barker, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Newfane will head out on the road to face off against Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Barker will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Medina at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th.
