Softball Recap: T.R. Miller Has No Trouble Against Excel

T.R. Miller's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Excel Panthers. The Tigers have beaten the Panthers the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Ollie Billingsley spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Meg Fountain, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Reeves, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

T.R. Miller's win bumped their record up to 14-12-1. As for Excel, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-12.

Coming up, T.R. Miller will be taking part in a tournament against Opp at 11:00 a.m. on the 19th. As for Excel, they will be playing at home against Sweet Water at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
