Cactus barely beat Moon Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cactus Cobras put the hurt on the Moon Valley Rockets with a sharp  12-6 win on Wednesday. That looming  12-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cobras yet this  season.
 Jordan Marrufo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   one  hit. That's the fewest  earned runs  he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Three bases. He also  brought in an  RBI, marking his first of the season.
 In other batting news, Cactus let  Phoenix Huisinga and  Jackson Dunphy run wild. Huisinga  scored two  runs and  stole  Four bases. while going 1-for-3, while  Dunphy  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Dunphy a new career-high.  Julian Moncivaiz also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
Cactus' victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Moon Valley,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-3.
 Coming up, Cactus will be taking part in a tournament against Elizabeth  at 10:00  a.m.  on Thursday. Elizabeth will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something Cactus surely won't give up without a fight. As for Moon Valley, they are taking a road trip to  take on Thunderbird  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
