The Lockport Lions entered their tilt with the Starpoint Spartans with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Lockport enjoyed a cozy 30-15 victory over Starpoint on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Lockport, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lockport's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shey Williams led the charge by picking up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jahkwon Davis made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Lockport's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. As for Starpoint, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Lockport will square off against Clarence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clarence will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Starpoint does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
