South Pointe dropped their record down to 8-13 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 8-1 to the Rock Hill Bearcats. The Stallions were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Bearcats' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Rock Hill, their record now sits at 5-20-1. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with South Pointe: they've now won seven in a row.

For Rock Hill's part, Brayden Brogdon was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. The Bearcats are 3-1 when Brogdon posts two or more runs, but 2-19-1 otherwise. Mason McKay was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Looking ahead, South Pointe will head out to face off against York at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Stallions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. Rock Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
