The Kingsway Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They fell to McKinley 51-46. Kingsway Christian has not had much luck with McKinley recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cole Tapp, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of JT Bischoff, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Kingsway Christian bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for McKinley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Kingsway Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gospel Haven Academy at 6:45 p.m. on January 4, 2024. McKinley will finish 2023 at home by hosting Reimer Road Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Reimer Road Baptist Christian will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
