Miramar took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 41-6 victory over Everglades. Given Miramar's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Everglades is ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Another reason for the win was South Broward's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Richardson Toussaint and Charles Ross who racked up five sacks between them.

Everything came up roses for Miramar against South Broward in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 55-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miramar since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
