The Cedar Valley Aviators will head out on the road to challenge the Farmington Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Cedar Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Cedar Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Riverton, who was ranked first at the time (Cedar Valley was ranked 16th). Takuilau Wolfgramm made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Eva Okusi, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Farmington not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2025 (when they won 13-0). They blew past Altamont 14-3. The Phoenix's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Morgan Rogers and Kiley Gazafy did most of the damage at the plate: Rogers went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Gazafy got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Rogers has posted since back in April of 2025. Kambree Teuscher also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Farmington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Altamont only posted an OBP of .364.
Farmington's record now sits at 3-4. As for Cedar Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Farmington's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cedar Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Farmington, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Cedar Valley's sizable advantage in that area, the Phoenix will need to find a way to close that gap.
