The Proctor Phantoms will square off against the Windsor Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Proctor will bounce into Monday's game after beating West Rutland, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Phantoms had just enough and edged out the Golden Horde 12-11. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Phantoms.
Olivia Graham made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off ten hits. Graham was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and one triple.
In other batting news, Proctor let Izzy Smith and Madi Baker run wild. Smith went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Baker went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Ella Strong was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Windsor hadn't beaten Thetford Academy on the road since April 15, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 9-6 win over the Panthers.
The team relied heavily on Cassie Clark, who fired off three triples, three runs, and one RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Kleefisch, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Proctor's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Windsor, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
